If you have a clear record otherwise, probably they will not put you in removal proceedings, as a matter of prosecutorial discretion.

You cannot file for anyone but the brother. However if he is approved, they can immigrate with him on his visa, as "accompanying" relatives.

Should not be too long, perhaps six months, for security clearances, etc. You can stay in the U.S. for the duration of your timely filed...

If you have an unexpired green card, they probably won't question you at the airport. It seems you have not really abandoned your status.
