Saved My Case

I hired Vince to take over my divorce after being involved with another lawyer for well over a year... I was being advise to move out of my house and walk away from everything I worked my whole life for... Vince took the rains of my case and never looked back... Within three months of taking my case ...over I had a custody agreement and was preparing to go to trial to get my case done... I was never felt left alone again since I hired him my questions were answer promptly and I was well prepared for all that was in front of me... In court Vince was like a puppeteer pulling the strings dancing all around my ex wife's attorney... He was well organized and prepared for trial I was very impressed and satisfied... Vince has a great knowledge of the law and you will be in good hands!!! I am now back in my home with my children rebuilding my life...

If I could give him no stars I would. Vince was referred to me by someone who went through a nasty divorce (another male) but judging by his outcome, I should've known better. I met with Vince 9 months before I filed for divorce, you would've thought in that initial interview he would have advised ...me on how to better protect myself and my children from the financial outcome my spouse ultimately ended up collecting because Vince didn't do his job... i.e. 401k, IRA, etc. He was outdone by a REAL ESTATE attorney who does divorces on the side, what does that tell you? He never stood up for me, told me to "shush" instead of speaking up and telling the truth, lets things linger (like wracking up another $5000 in bills and paperwork when my ex took me to court to pay HIS attorney - he lost by the way but I ended up footing the bill). He let his junior attorney (woman) handle everything and was completely incompetent in what little he did. DO NOT HIRE HIM especially if you're a woman because he will talk down to you, let the other attorney take complete control and ultimately, lose your case while you end up paying thousands of your hard earned money.

Vince is fantastic!

I hired Vince to renegotiate my MSA. That experience was successful and I was pleased with the outcome. So, the following year when I got remarried and wanted to relocate with my kids to another state, I of course, chose Vince again to represent me. He appointed Kristen Carey to handle my case, but h...e was still involved in all major decisions and always current with my case. Both Kristin and Vince worked diligently and tirelessly for me. They are professional, personable and dedicated. Both were even available to me during evenings and weekends if an emergency arose. I had been cautioned by many that a removal case is very difficult, and not often successful. But thanks to their hard work and vast knowledge of both family law and the nuances of court proceedings, Vince and Kristen won my case!!! I am forever grateful! Huge kudos, thanks and hugs to you both!

Doesn't like women - abusive in his language

Regret using him. In one word- toxic. He is abusive. A bully to me and a lamb with other attorneys. He is lazy to do work. Doesn't listen. You can put every thing in writing as to what he will say he will do- good luck getting him to do actual work. He does get to his office early to b...eat traffic but meeting him highly unproductive, he will respond to texts and email but worthless communication - can't even get dates from status hearings and does not send copies of what is signed in court. You will have a difficult time getting him to explain any document; he doesn't write it - so doesn't know what is in it and had no explanation to explain. He intentionally files sup par agreements to keep you in entangled and in court till you run out of money. He says he works hard. But it's not my case he's working on but someone else' in a different county. He must have a lot or side deals for buddies and ancillary services he pushes. He tAlks down to me and spends and inordinate amount of tlme I am paying for in depositions chatting about the suburbs and Florida with opposing council and He talks up what he'll do- doesn't do it. Beware he makes side deals with opposing council, says one thing to you in courtroom hallway and complete opposite to judge two seconds later. He will not come up with any ideas of his own. It's a full time job getting him to do any work. 1/2 my bills are calls to him to get him to do work. He is evasive and sneaky. Becareful. He met with my ex spouse after a deposition without my knowledge or consent. Another attorney in his office tipped me off. He spends more time appeasing oposing council and that is not representation. He says this won't work, gives no legal reason why just says opposing council or your ex or the judge won't go along with it. He is not a good writer or communicator. Constant cya emails from him as to what he has done and rare that he has done what he says he will do.

You will not see him or hear from him

This attorney completely relies on younger associates to do work, and remains out of touch with case. My case was in Cook County and he was almost NEVER available; he was always in Court in Lake or WIll County with someone else's case. You probably wIll spend a lot of money trying to even get him ...to do work. He relies on the client to manage his associates. He misplaces documents and emails and doesn't personally return phone calls ; relies on associate to do all work ongoing. Very frustrating===Horrible experience. His constant mantra is how hard he works for you. He will work hard to get your business then basically drops you as client, continues to charge double rate when he accomplishes little work and drags things out. He frequently doesn't show up to court--sends associate, even for trial, sends someone else not familiar with case. Not a strong attorney, neither a shark nor is he collaborative. Beware. Very weak with depositions. NO game plan or discussion of process. He tries to get you to hire his buddies for mortgage, for tax work etc. and they are not particularly competent. He doesn't seem to care about you-- the client. He talks down to you, does work harmful to your case without your input or agreement. Be careful. He is an experienced client but you will spend a great deal of time--trying to get him to stay on top of your case.
