I am a wage-hour expert who serves as the head of Seyfarth Shaw's Chicago office Wage & Hour Litigation Practice Group and co-chair of the national group. I have as defended more than 125 actual or putative wage and hour collective/class actions. I also regularly advises companies on compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act and state wage-and-hour laws, including the performance of exempt status reviews and pay practice assessments. I write extensively on the FLSA and comparable state laws and drafted comments to the U.S. DOL on proposed FLSA exemption changes on behalf of the Society for Human Resources Management. I am one of three authors of the only treatise focused on wage and hour litigation, ALM’s more than 1,000-page Wage and Hour Collective and Class Litigation.
