Biography
Justin J. Lannoye is a 2002 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, has been a partner of the firm Dowd, Bloch, Bennett & Cervone since January 1, 2010. Before becoming a partner, he had served as a law clerk for the firm during his final year of law school and became an associate of the firm in 2003.
His practice is concentrated in the areas of representing employee benefit funds with respect to ERISA, HIPAA and Internal Revenue Code compliance, including plan design, plan terminations and mergers, IRS audits, investments, subrogation, eligibility, benefit claims and fraud prevention and in ERISA litigation.
He represents both defined benefit and defined contribution/401(k) retirement plans as well as welfare plans. He has also been involved in both federal and state court litigation of complex class action cases dealing with public employees' retirement benefits and federal litigation to uphold union employees' FMLA rights.
He is admitted to practice before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Northern District of Illinois and the Supreme Court of Illinois.
