Stephen Alan Fulkerson

While in law school Stephen was an active member of the Western Michigan University Cooley Law School Alternative Dispute Resolution Board and he interned with the Washtenaw County Public Defender.  As a public defender Stephen was appointed to represent clients charged with felonies.

Since joining the firm Stephen has focused his practice on business matters where he has gained extensive experience counseling lenders during the negotiation, due diligence and drafting of real estate backed commercial loans. Stephen used the experience he gained from his time documenting loans to represent buyers and sellers in real estate transactions. Having represented every party involved in real estate transactions Stephen has a unique understanding of all of the pieces necessary to get a transaction to close.

Stephen’s business practice also includes representation of small and mid-sized businesses during all phases on the corporations life. in start-up, organizational and contract matters, including shareholder agreements, buy-out agreements, breach of contract actions, employment agreements, distribution agreements and asset and real estate purchase agreements. Stephen is also available to assist the firm’s clients in residential real estate transactions and with the preparation of wills and trust agreements.
