About me

Patrick A. Salvi II joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. in 2007. He concentrates his legal practice on cases concerning personal injury, medical malpractice and product liability.


In March 2015, Mr. Salvi obtained a $17.9 million jury verdict on behalf of a 47-year-old Lombard, Illinois woman, hit by a truck, following a 2-week jury trial. Further, during his first trial as lead attorney, Mr. Salvi secured a $1.28 million verdict on behalf of a teen who had her leg and knee cap broken in an accident. Mr. Salvi recently achieved two seven figure verdicts, including a wrongful death verdict in downstate Pope County, Illinois of $1.2 million (a county record) and a $2.065 million verdict in Cook County, Illinois for a young woman who broke her pelvis in several places. Mr. Salvi also achieved a record jury verdict on behalf of one of his clients in excess of $33 million. The case involved a teenager who was paralyzed in a motor vehicle collision. Additionally, he has secured a $29.1 million medical malpractice verdict brought in federal court.


In recognition for his outstanding legal work, Mr. Salvi was awarded The American Association for Justice’s 2015 F. Scott Baldwin Award, presented each year to the “most outstanding young trial lawyer” in the country. Mr. Salvi was also the youngest member named to Law Bulletin Publishing Company’s 2011 “40 Under Forty” attorney list and was selected as a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40 organization. He was also named to the Illinois Super Lawyers list in 2014 and selected as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers in 2012 and 2013. In 2014, Mr. Salvi was a recipient of The Illinois Trial Lawyers Association President’s Award and a recipient of the American Association for Justice’s Wiedemann and Wysocki Award, both for his commitment and dedication to the associations respectively. Additionally, Mr. Salvi was the recipient of a 2012 Award for Trial Lawyer Excellence by The Jury Verdict Reporter and Law Bulletin Publishing Company. In 2015, he was also named to the Law Bulletin Publishing Company’s Emerging Lawyers, an honor given to the top 2% of lawyers in Illinois who are age 40 or younger or have practiced 10 years or less.




Mr. Salvi received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado and his law degree from the University of Notre Dame. At Notre Dame he received the award from the International Academy of Trial Lawyers for excellence in trial advocacy.


Additional credentials and distinctions include: memberships in the Lake County Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association where he is a member of the Standing Committee on Judicial Evaluations. Mr. Salvi is involved with and a member of the American Association for Justice where he sits on the Board of Governors and the AAJ PAC Board of Trustees. He is also an active member on the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, where he is a co-chair on the publications committee and co-authored the 2010 Medical Malpractice Trial Notebook on Informed Consent. Mr. Salvi has been a judge at ABA and AAJ trial competitions, as well as ABA Moot Court competitions. In addition, Mr. Salvi has been a speaker at Kellogg’s School of Management’s MBA business law class and at Notre Dame Law School’s “Personal Injury Litigation” class.


Mr. Salvi is active in community service. He was formerly the chairman and currently sits on the Board of Advisors for St. Agnes of Bohemia Elementary School in the southwest side of Chicago.
