Laura Darby

Laura joined Anderson Boback & Marshall in her first year of practicing law, after being admitted to the Illinois Bar and swearing the oath of office as an attorney in November of 2021. Laura is a committed and passionate fighter for her clients, and is a diligent and effective arguer and legal writer. Laura prides herself on working as a team with her clients and communicating with them about their goals for the case and how to reach them.

Although she is prepared to argue the issues, the law, and her client’s positions on them and will do so when necessary, Laura is also a skilled negotiator and collaborator, and in her cases where a resolution can be reached by agreement, she will strive for that outcome if it is possible, especially when doing so will save her clients needless legal expense. Laura has been described by her opponents as a perfectionist, a criticism Laura wears with honor.
