I do not live in Chicago or Illinois, but when I picked up a criminal charge in Philadelphia it became known I had a warrant in Chicago. I was unaware of the warrant myself, however was very concerned with turning myself in to resolve the issue. I did not want to travel to Chicago to turn myself in..., and was very concerned with then being found guilty of probation violation and being sentenced to up to a year in Cook County Prison.
