Elizabeth Vogel McIlhattan

Elizabeth Vogel McIlhattan realizes that clients come to her during one of the most stressful periods in their lives, and ensures to be their advocate. Elizabeth Vogel McIlhattan believes creating an individualized and strategic approach for each client provides for the best possible outcome for her clients. Elizabeth Vogel McIlhattan works effectively and tirelessly to advocate for her client’s and families’ best interests. She believes by being an attentive listener, while also explaining each step in her client’s court proceedings to make sure there is a clear understanding of the process, Elizabeth Vogel McIlhattan can decrease any additional stress involved in the family law proceedings.

Elizabeth Vogel McIlhattan is dedicated to helping clients navigate all stages of litigation, including, allocation of parental responsibilities and parenting time, calculating child support and maintenance, property division, and classifying marital and non-marital property. Further, Elizabeth Vogel McIlhattan is committed to ensuring the client’s children are properly accounted for as well. Elizabeth Vogel McIlhattan understands the costs of litigation can be overwhelming, and does her best to reach an appropriate and fair settlement in the most cost-effective manner possible under the circumstances; however, Elizabeth Vogel McIlhattan is equipped to bring her cases to trial and advocate for her client’s needs as the situation dictates.

Elizabeth Vogel McIlhattan also serves as a Guardian ad Litem and Child Representative in Cook County, representing children in Court. Elizabeth Vogel McIlhattan interviews the children, parents, and any additional collaterals to ensure that children’s voices are being heard, while advocating for their best interests in Court.

Elizabeth Vogel McIlhattan is a member of the Illinois bar and has focused her legal career and practice exclusively in the area of family law. Elizabeth Vogel McIlhattan received her Juris Doctorate and a Certificate in Family Law from Loyola University Chicago. She earned her undergraduate degree from Indiana University-Bloomington, where she earned a Bachelors in Science in Human Development and Family Studies.

Elizabeth Vogel McIlhattan was born and raised in downtown Chicago, and currently lives in Wrigleyville with her husband and dog Ivy. Elizabeth Vogel McIlhattan enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and loves watching Chicago Cubs games, especially when they win!
