Andrew J. Maratea

Andrew Maratea focuses his practice in Real Estate Law, Debt Collection/Creditors’ Rights, and Commercial Litigation. Specifically, commercial leasing, landlord/tenant law, forcible entry and detainer actions, contract disputes, debtor/creditor litigation and enforcement, mechanic’s lien disputes, easement issues, specific performance matters, zoning ordinance violations, and property ownership disputes, including, but not limited to actions in replevin and detinue.

Currently engaged by a number of real estate development companies, property management companies, and various commercial businesses, Andrew handles a wide variety of contract disputes and real estate related issues for his clients appearing regularly in state court for Cook County as well as all surrounding collar counties as needed. 

Andrew is a lifelong Chicagoan. He was born and raised in Park Ridge, attended Maine South High School and went on to pursue his undergraduate degree, where he graduated from Arizona State University with concentrations in business administration and communications while serving as an excutive board member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Andrew graduated with his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago, where he earned the Certificate in Tax Law, was a member or the Annals of Health Law Journal, and a Student Attorney for the Loyola Low-Income Tax Law Clinic. He also attended the summer program in Rome, Italy hosted by the Honorable Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg.

When Andrew isn’t practicing law, he enjoys exploring Chicago, dining out, cheering for the Bears and Bulls, traveling, playing kickball, volleyball, and golf. He also trains and is an avid follower of mixed martial arts.
