also known as Vanya Hadzhieva Hession
I concentrate my practice on family-based immigration law, including removal defense before the U.S. Immigration Courts and the Immigration Custom and Enforcement’s Detention and Removal Office.
I sppecialize in Applications for Waivers of Inadmissibility, Asylum, Petitions for Battered Spouses under the Violence Against Women Act, Applications for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, Petitions for U Visa Classification, prosecutorial discretion requests, etc.
I have also completed an internship with the U.S. Department of Justice at the Chicago Immigration Court. I worked closely with immigration judges and judicial law clerks researching legal issues in pending actions involving asylum, deportation, withholding and cancellation of removal, voluntary departure, CAT, etc. I regularly prepared responses to motions and briefs in support of denials/grants for various immigration applications.
