Tara Rae Devine

Tara R. Devine joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. in 2004 and became the firm's first female Partner in 2011. She was named Managing Partner of the firm's Lake County office in 2018. She focuses her practice on personal injury, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, wrongful death, and product liability cases. Licensed in Illinois and Wisconsin.

Ms. Devine has recovered more than $325 million in verdicts and settlements for her clients.

Ms. Devine has helped secure numerous multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements. In 2017, she was part of the trial team that obtained a record-setting $148 million jury verdict for a dancer paralyzed by a collapsed pedestrian shelter at O'Hare International Airport. The verdict was the highest compensatory verdict awarded to an individual plaintiff in Illinois history.

Ms. Devine is actively involved in the legal community. She served as President of the Lake County Bar Association from 2022–2023 and serves on the Board of Managers of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. In 2023, she was appointed to the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Jury Instructions in Civil Cases. She is also a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Wisconsin State Bar Association, and American Association for Justice.

Ms. Devine earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois and her law degree from Marquette University Law School. She remains active with Marquette alumni events and activities.

Outside of work, she enjoys hot yoga, family vacations, and visiting dog parks and forest preserves with her dog.
