Nicole Jasmine Macmillan

Nicole is passionate about helping her clients get through some of the most difficult times of their lives, and works tirelessly to achieve the best results in their cases. Before joining Hayes Law, LLC, Nicole handled a variety of commercial, employment and contractual matters at a local civil litigation firm and utilizes those skills to resolve complex issues related to family law.

As an associate attorney, Nicole represents clients in all areas of family law, including divorce, maintenance, child support, allocation of parental responsibilities and parenting time, division of assets, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, parentage cases, and domestic violence matters.

Nicole is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she focused a majority of her education on learning the intricacies of civil litigation. This included studying comparative advocacy in London, England, and competing as part of Loyola’s International Humanitarian Law competition team in both Washington, D.C. and Bali, Indonesia. While in law school, Nicole clerked at a prestigious personal injury firm, gaining experience in advocating for injured parties at all stages of litigation. She also worked as a mediator, handling small claims matters at the Richard J. Daley Center in Downtown Chicago. Upon graduation, Nicole received a certificate in advocacy and was a recipient of the CALI award in Advanced Writing for Illinois Civil and Criminal Litigation. Prior to law school, Nicole studied Political Science, International Affairs, English, and Religion, at Florida State University, graduating one year early with two bachelor’s degrees, which she completed with high honors.

Outside of work, Nicole is an active participant in the martial arts community across the Midwest. She also enjoys attending local Chicago theater and traveling with her wife and dog.
