Michael J. Schostok

Michael J. Schostok joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. in 2019 and concentrates his practice on catastrophic personal injury and medical malpractice cases.

He has obtained significant verdicts and settlements, including a $15.75 million personal injury settlement for a Florida man who lost his leg in a forklift collision, a $15 million settlement for a motorcyclist whose leg was amputated above the knee, and a $3.9 million medical malpractice settlement. In one of his first jury trials with the firm,

Mr. Schostok secured a $3.73 million verdict for a pedestrian struck by a construction vehicle after its driver became drowsy and drifted onto the sidewalk.

Before becoming an Associate, Mr. Schostok worked as a law clerk at the firm on numerous high-profile cases and trials. He also spent two and a half years as a law clerk at another prominent Chicago personal injury firm.

Mr. Schostok earned his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2019, where he was a member of the nationally renowned Trial Advocacy Team. He received his bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2016.

He is the son of late Partner Michael P. Schostok and is honored to continue his father's legacy at the firm. Mr. Schostok is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and serves on the board of the Michael Matters Foundation, a nonprofit organization supporting individuals diagnosed with brain cancer.

Outside of work, he enjoys listening to and playing music, watching movies, and traveling.
