Terrible lawyer I was forced into a bad deal due to ineffective counsel

Absolutely terrible experience I had a lawyer thru John buchmiller for a custody case and it was going so well I hired them again for a separate custody case. In the middle of us being close to winning my case. charlotte christian took over they sent me a terrible lawyer named Madison Mathis who di...dn’t know anything of what she was doing, she did not review my case at all, I made it clear that we were going to go to trial 2 months prior when trial time rolls around she asked for a continuance the judge denied it due to how long the case was taking. When trial time did roll around I went from having a deal worked out from the prior lawyer to having to settle for a deal because of ineffective counseltoit was either go to trial and lose because she didn’t review the case didn’t study and had no clue what to do or work a deal that I didn’t want and try to come back later with a different attorney witch is what I had to do. I reached out to charlotte Christian law about this they didn’t return my calls at all and the crazy this is I PAID THEM MONEY. But from my understanding that’s what they are known for I talked to a BUNCH OF ATTORNEYS THAT HAVE LEFT DUE TO THEM SCAMMING PEOPLE and BAD PRACTICES with NEW and OLD customers. The judge literally had to walk my attorney thru how to write the parenting allocation for 3 days straight then she wanted to argue with me as tho she was doing her job. It’s been two months I still haven’t heard anything and now as time goes on there is a bunch of holes in the agreement that was made I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NO BODY HIRE CHAROLETTE CHRISTIAN LAW FIRM AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT HIRE MADISON MATHIS please any body feel free to contact me at 2246270237 I will fully detail my experience and how bad it was with them.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
