Definately a pick for a lawyer to be disbarred!

I retained Kevin in 2010 for an employer employee case with a very high retainer.. He came out of the gates with what appeared to be a knowledgeable and a fierce litigator. With in weeks of retaining him the excuses began, and the mere fact that he disappeared with little to no response to any phone... calls, emails, text messages for nearly a year. With in that year court dates were missed and no updates of any litigation of progress.. Then the complete break down of this case resulting in a huge default 100% due to Kevin not showing up for court dates after numerous requests from the Cook County Court system. Then the lies began with supposed no knowledge on his part... Now after a year of disappearing, excuses and a Unbelievable default judgment Kevin was now engaged in the case and a whirlwind of attorneys fees that added up faster then anyone could imagine... Still defending that he had no idea of this default he was now defending it instead of getting to the root of the issue of why " We never had our day in court !!!!!" after an additional year of outrageous attorneys fees and more excuses I finally decide to fire him and go with new counsel too only find more issues that were a result of Kevin not properly representing me as a client. Please please please do your research and do it diligently before you make the same mistake I did.

My pick for a Lawyer that should be disbarred

Where does one begin!? I asked him to handle a very simple case. He had handled one for me before and did fairly well. This time something was going on in his life and it cost me thousands! He failed to respond to a summons. He lied to me about filing the response. This was completely inexcus...able as, the complainants had granted him a healthy extension and I had taken the time to write it out for him. When I tried to contact him, his phone had been disconnected and he told me to text him. I would often go weeks without hearing from him. I eventually had to go on his face book page to get him after he ignored calls, texts and emails for a month. Needless to say I lost because no filing was made. I asked about an appeal of the decision. It was blatantly clear that I was not at fault. The issue was getting the documents in front of a judge. I badgered him for six months to file. He failed to, saying that he was working on it. Eventually, I had to pay the suit, as I lost through failure to appear. Now, over a year later he demands an additional $2000 because he failed to file the paperwork to satisfy the lien the clowns that should not have won placed on my building! No paperwork explaining hours. No attempt to say what this money is for. Merely the threat of not allowing me to close on my building. The threat was clear that he would not file the paper work he had claimed he had filed a year earlier. Extortion is closer to what is going on here then requesting payment. An itemized invoice is too much trouble? I am curious where the retainer went! Certainly not in actual work! Not only would I not hire him. I would be willing to spend thousands to see him disbarred!
