Concentration in complex commercial and business litigation, including commercial torts, class actions, multi-district litigation, intellectual property, professional liability (legal and accounting), securities and shareholder rights, and labor and employment, particularly employment discrimination. Lead counsel in large commercial and labor trials before judges and juries in federal and state courts, including the only successful defense of the largest state civil racketeering case in Wisconsin history. Argued and briefed federal and state appeals throughout the United States, including the landmark class actions, Miner v. Gillette Co., to the Illinois Supreme Court and In re Medco Health Solutions to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
