Jennifer L. Ashley

Jennifer L. Ashley is a Partner at Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard who has dedicated her career to representing individuals injured in car accidents and other serious personal injury cases. Since joining the firm in 2012, Ms. Ashley has secured more than $70 million for her clients and has built a reputation as a skilled trial attorney who combines extensive courtroom experience with a genuine commitment to the people she represents.

With more than 100 jury trials to her credit, Ms. Ashley brings a unique perspective to every personal injury case. Before joining Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard, she spent 12 years representing insurance companies, an experience that gave her an in-depth understanding of how insurance companies evaluate and defend claims. She now uses that knowledge to advocate for injured individuals and families.

Throughout her career, Ms. Ashley’s successful personal injury verdicts have been published more than 75 times in the Cook County Jury Verdict Reporter, and she has negotiated and settled more than 1,000 cases. Her notable results include a $16 million personal injury settlement for a man who underwent a below-the-knee amputation after a collision involving a porter for a Lake County car dealership and obtained a $10.5 million jury verdict for the family of a kindergarten teacher who was killed after being struck by a speeding dump truck.

Ms. Ashley believes that successful representation begins with listening to her clients. She takes the time to understand how an injury has affected each person’s life and works closely with clients throughout their cases to keep them informed every step of the way. Her commitment to her clients is reflected in the consistently positive feedback she receives through Google reviews, including clients who praise her responsiveness, compassion, and dedication throughout the legal process.

Ms. Ashley’s results have earned her consistent recognition from the legal community. She was named the 2026 Best Lawyers “Lawyer of the Year” for Product Liability Law – Plaintiffs in Chicago, an honor given to only one attorney in each practice area and metropolitan area each year. She has also been routinely named to the Illinois Super Lawyers “Top 100” list, the “Top 50 Female Super Lawyers” list, and Best Lawyers.

Beyond her work with clients, Ms. Ashley is active in the legal community. She currently serves as a Treasurer of the Lake County Bar Association after previously serving for eight years on the board of the Lake County Bar Foundation. She has also chaired the Lake County Bar Association’s Civil Trials & Appeals Committee and the Lake County Bar Foundation’s Fundraising Committee. In addition, she regularly serves as an arbitrator in Cook and Lake Counties and has volunteered with Prairie State Legal Services to provide pro bono legal assistance to individuals who cannot afford an attorney.

Outside the firm, Ms. Ashley enjoys watching her son play baseball and her daughter play volleyball, traveling—especially to New York City—and spending time with her family. She is fluent in French and is currently learning Spanish.
