Real Estate 40%

I practice in housing court and represent clients accused of property violations by the city, including gang house violation accusations. I represent both landlords and tenants for evictions. I defend foreclosures. I am familiar with the Chicago Residential Landlord Tenant Ordinance. I also represent condominium associations for general legal representation, as well as unit owners who have disputes with their associations.

I represent both plaintiffs and defendants in breach of contract claims. Most of my cases involve small businesses or real estate issues.

Administrative Law 20%

Before joining my firm, I worked for the City of Chicago prosecuting owners of distressed properties. I prosecuted hundreds of cases and ran the Ownership Call (dealing with issues in the chain of title). I represent property owners facing administrative action from government entities. I've also defended professionals facing losing their licensure by the state.

Carrie worked with me on a Condo purchase. She was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. In addition, she explained in detail questions I had. I would not hesitate to work with Carrie again.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
