With over 25 years of legal experience, Scott Day established his Naperville practice in 1984 focusing his career in real estate litigation.
With a BFA in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois, Scott received his law degree from Loyola University of Chicago in 1981 and was admitted to the Illinois bar that same year. He spent three years working as an Assistant State’s Attorney for DuPage County before entering into private practice.
Since founding Day & Robert, P.C., Scott has served as lead trial counsel in hundreds of cases prosecuted on behalf of cities, villages, counties, water reclamation districts, park districts and preservation districts throughout DuPage, Cook and the surrounding collar counties. He has also served as lead appellate counsel in litigation before various appellate courts and the Illinois Supreme Court. Scott’s vast knowledge in the field of eminent domain is unparalleled, as is his experience in zoning, municipal law and complex commercial real estate litigation.
Scott’s experience also includes representing clients before a variety of Illinois state agencies, including contested proceedings before the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. His diverse legal background has been recognized by Illinois legislators and governmental entities who have retained him to draft legislation for the State of Illinois.
Outside of the office Scott enjoys his family, church activities, tennis and golf.

Summary Judgment granted in favor of the City of Wheaton at City's appraised values.
Assisted the Village of Itasca in the land acquisition and zoning and development approvals for new $35,000,000 wastewater treatment plant.
Jury verdict of $10,725,000, only $25,000 above lowest appraisal testimony submitted by FPD and $3,775,000 less than owner's trial testimony.
