From the beginning of our careers, the Abogadas de Inmigracion team has been guided by a deep commitment to our communities. With over 20 years of combined experience in immigration law, we knew it was time to create something of our own—a law firm that truly reflected our vision, our values, and our passion for justice. Founding Abogadas de Inmigracion was the realization of a dream: to build a law firm of women dedicated exclusively to immigration law.

At Abogadas de Inmigracion, we specialize in providing personalized legal support to individuals and families facing the challenges of the U.S. immigration system. Our mission is clear: to offer honest, empathetic, and effective representation at every stage of the immigration process.

Mitzi has dedicated her life and career to the practice of immigration since 2013. Mitzi’s expertise encompasses a wide range of immigration issues including asylum, adjustment of status, naturalization, consular processing, VAWA, U-visas, removal of conditions, waivers, and removal defense. She has successfully litigated thousands of cases in multiple jurisdictions, including Illinois, Michigan, California, New York, Georgia, Louisiana, and Ohio. Mitzi’s experience also extends to Petitions for Review before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Mitzi’s academic journey reflects her commitment to advocacy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Latin America and Latino Studies from DePaul University. Her pursuit of legal expertise led her to earn a Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois.
