Charles James Corrigan

Mr. Corrigan graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in Economics, and received his law degree cum laude from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, where he served on the Law Review. He has been selected as a Leading Illinois Attorney, and enjoys the highest rating available nationally (AV® Preeminent ™) for both skill and ethics as evaluated by Martindale-Hubbell Publishing.

Mr. Corrigan has been elected to the Fellows of the America Bar Association. The Fellows is limited to one third of one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction. Members are nominated by Fellows in their jurisdiction and elected by the Board of the American Bar Foundation.

Mr. Corrigan has been selected as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honorary society comprised of experienced and effective litigators throughout the United States. Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only, and represents less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. LCA Fellows are deemed to be among the best trial lawyers in the American bar, who have exhibited accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and have superior ethical reputations. The composition of the Litigation Counsel of America is aggressively diverse, with recognition of excellence in litigation across all segments of the bar. In addition, the LCA is dedicated to promoting superior advocacy, professionalism and ethical standards among its Fellows.

Mr. Corrigan has twenty-five years of experience in a broad variety of civil litigation. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the United States District Court for Northern District of Illinois, including its trial bar, the Illinois Supreme Court, and all trial and appellate level courts in Illinois. He has handled cases in DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Will, Cook, and DeKalb Counties. He is experienced in alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration and mediation.

Mr. Corrigan has written articles for the DuPage County Bar Association’s monthly publication, The Brief, and wrote a chapter in the American Bar Association’s law book, Litigating the Sexual Harassment Case.

Mr. Corrigan was one of the class counsel in the Lockformer class action litigation, regarding pollution of land and ground water affecting residential properties in Lisle, Illinois, and personally negotiated the settlement on behalf of the class for $10,000,000.

Mr. Corrigan is actively involved in the Naperville community, where he resides with his wife, Mary, and their children. He is president of the West Suburban Irish, Inc., and has also served as president of the Rotary Club of Naperville Downtown, the DuPage Symphony Orchestra, and the Naperville Jaycees. He has served as Executive Director of Naperville’s Last Fling, and as a member of the Naperville Riverwalk Commission. He served on the board of directors of the Naperville Baseball Association. He has been awarded a lifetime achievement award by the Naperville Jaycees, and was named one of “Tomorrow’s Leaders Today” by the Business Ledger.
