Matthew R. Halpin

Matthew R. Halpin is a 1992 graduate of the University of Detroit School of Law. While at the University of Detroit Law, Mr. Halpin was elected the Associate Vice President of the University of Detroit Student Bar Association. As an attorney, Mr. Halpin was admitted to practice in the State of Michigan and Illinois in 1992 and 1993 respectively. For 23 years after graduating from law school, Mr. Halpin focused on civil litigation in both the state and federal courts representing both individuals and corporations. Mr. Halpin remains admitted to practice in both states.

Before becoming an attorney, Matthew R. Halpin earned a B.S.E. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering and was President of the Quarterdeck Society, the student chapter of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers at The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Mr. Halpin worked for Bath Iron Works (Bath, Maine) and the United States Military doing research in the University of Michigan's Ocean Research and Hydrodynamics Lab.
