Joyce Lewis Wixson

I live out of state. As an heir of a deceased relative, I received documents pertaining to foreclosure of the property of the 'deceased'. One document included monetary information and noted that the defendants must file 'an appearance'. I did not understand all of terminology. And I was concerned... about my liability. I attempted to contact the lawyers of the plaintiff. (no response) I then called the circuit court for information. They could only send a list of attorney's whom handle that type of law. I contacted Joyce and she spent quite an amount of time answering my questions. She did not ask for a fee! I did not take any immediate action. But, after a few weeks, I wanted closure and wanted to stop my thinking about any personal liability. I contacted Joyce; once again. She remembered the initial consultation and was willing to assist me. Recovering from surgery she kept in contact and wanted to assist me when she returned. After researching the court documents, she asked to talk with the other heir; since he and I rarely communicated. And I was not totally aware of his dealings with the plaintiff. He also was the 'executor' and could fill in all the details which Joyce needed to be aware. Joyce helped me to understand the process and put my concerns to rest.
