Carey Christopher Cosentino

I hired this attorney and he was totally unprofessional from our very 1st meeting. I asked if I could pay half in cash and half on a check. This lawyers response was " i love cash,it doesn't bounce ". I never received any paperwork except for the first blank paper which I had to fill out and it was l...eft on the floor outside his office. He never responded back to questions that I had for days. Finally after a month this lawyer asked me where my paperwork was. Without my question being answered I had to say that I wasn't able to finish it yet. Lawyer responded " you want your money don't you?" I replied " yes, of course ". At another point in time I said " that I needed some money, how long should I expect it to take?" The lawyer then responded, sell anything in the house not nailed down ". When I did finally get some payments none of them were paid on time. The lawyer responded " its not a conspiracy theory ". The lawyer and I were on the last part of the divorce in his office and I had everything in order that I was told to bring with me and showed the lawyer. The lawyer asked me if I was tired for some reason and I replied NO. The lawyer proceeded to take some papers out and was going to write a C on 1 page, then changed his mind. The lawyer said forget that it would only confuse you. Then the lawyer proceeded to pick up all of his paperwork off the desk and put it away. I thought that our meeting for the day was finished. I picked up my paperwork and put it in my briefcase and walked out. Then the next day the lawyer canceled my case without even saying anything to me or why. He had sent me a message that he told the court Unresolvable differences-differences of opinion. I called his office back and never even got a response back and the lawyer kept all of my money. Very unprofessional, unorthodox behavior and comments,lack of communication. No paperwork, no explanation from the lawyer. DO NOT HIRE THIS LAWYER. The lawyer basically left me homeless and didn't care. Fly by the seat of his pants is a good way to put it. Does not care about his clients at all.

Mr. Cosentino is knowledgeable enough to adjudicate the simplest Divorce/Child Custody cases. However, he was inept at keeping me informed of very important status dates. He lacked responsiveness needed with calls, emails, regarding very important questions, status dates/court appearances. When I pos...ed serious questions pertaining to my Shared Custody case. I would often wait days or even weeks for him to return my calls/emails. Mr. Cosentino failed to notify me of a status/court date regarding temporary child support which required my appearance , allowing the petition to be granted to the respondent without my knowledge. I raised the question of paternity, which went ignored for over a year. He finally managed to enter a petition for DNA testing and promptly filed a motion to withdraw as counsel, failing to consult with me before doing so. Mr. Cosentino seemed more interested in providing the court with my pay records than establishing my paternity. Mr. Cosentino would neglect to inform me of status/court dates requiring my appearance in court. He would then contact me via email stating I would be held in contempt of court if I failed to appear at the next status/court date. When given specific instructions Mr. Cosentino would often ignore requests and fail to contact or consult with me before making decisions. I would not recommend retaining Mr. Cosentino.

Horrible attorney. Doesn't call back when needed. When we went to court for my hearing he said that it's nice to enjoy your freedom without your children. WHAT???!!! Flies by the seat of his pants. Tells you he's going to one thing then does what he wants. I wasn't real sure who he was working f...or half the time. Doesn't return important docutments of yours. DO NOT HIRE THIS ATTORNEY
