Lauren Louise Pierucci

 Lauren Pierucci joined DeLaney DeLaney & Voorn, Ltd. as a law clerk in 2013 and then became an Associate Attorney in 2014.  She devotes her legal practice to Elder Law, focusing primarily on long-term care planning, estate planning, and guardianships.  Lauren is very detail-oriented, but uniquely maintains the ability to concentrate on the ultimate goal and see past the details to effectuate the best impact for the client.  She is a Guardian ad Litem in Will County and is an excellent writer. 

Ms. Pierucci graduated with a B.A. from Columbia College in Chicago and earned her J.D. from The John Marshall Law School, where she also received a Certificate in Elder Law.  While at The John Marshall Law School, Ms. Pierucci was a member of the Moot Court team and worked as a legal research assistant for the Elder Law Department.  During law school, she contributed to an article which was published in the Creighton University Law Review entitled, “The Forgotten Rule of Professional Conduct – Representing a Client with Diminished Capacity.  Most recently, Ms. Pierucci authored an article published in the August 2017 issue of the Illinois State Bar Journal entitled, "Protecting Client Settlement Funds with Special Needs Trusts."

Before joining Delaney Delaney & Voorn, Ltd., Ms. Pierucci worked as a manager at Walgreens, where she recognized the need for a legal education to properly assist aging clients with their most complex needs like healthcare, and insurance.  After that, she served as a judicial clerk in Will County and as a law clerk for the Office of the Public Guardian and Access Living, and as a legal research assistant for Professor Barry Kozak.  

Attorney Pierucci is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Will County Bar Association, and the Will County Estate Planning Counsel.  She is also a frequent speaker to community groups and senior organizations. Lauren resides in the Chicago suburbs, with her husband, Chris, and their daughter.
