Great Construction Lawyer

Just wanted to share a few words about our experience with Gary. Gary has been working with my wife and I over a dispute we have with a contractor. I cannot get into the details of the dispute, but over the past several months, we have gotten to know Gary very well. He takes our calls when it is con...venient for us. He recollects discussions in detail that we had months earlier. He answers all of our myriad questions professionally and with a deep understanding of contract law. Most importantly: he trusts us, trusts our position, and doggedly defends us. When a development in our case happens, Gary is there to calm our nerves and give us thoughtful advice. We have followed all his recommendations and are in a better place because of them. We are not done with our dispute, but every time we talk to Gary, we feel more confident and believe resolution will be favorable and soon at hand. He has never given up on us as we worked together to avoid using the court system to resolve the matter. We talked to Gary today after about a month. He quickly remembered our case, and we spoke like old friends talking about family and cracking jokes. He has become to us more than just our legal advisor. He is part of our team. Remarkably, we have done all this work with Gary while in the consultative phase of our relationship. He refuses to take our money! For all the reasons I cited, I highly recommend him if anyone needs a solid construction lawyer to represent them.

Great, No-Nonsense Lawyer

Gary is an excellent lawyer and I would not hesitate to recommend his services to anyone I meet. I was dealing with a contractor who performed very poor quality work at our house. We refused to pay the contractor the last payment and the relationship really went sour. Once the contractor threate...ned to put a lien on the house and sue for the final payment, I reached out to Gary for advice. Gary was always candid with me and thorough when gathering all the facts on the numerous issues that we had with the contractor. After putting together an airtight case that we were almost certain to win in court, Gary talked me through the options to proceed. The next part was what impressed me the most: instead of advising me to go ahead and sue the contractor for breach of contract, he advised to not hire him, as it wouldn’t be worth the money or stress. I dare you to find a lawyer who will tell you not to hire them, as I doubt there are many out there. If I ever get to the point where the contractor sues us (unlikely), then I will definitely reach back out to Gary, who will work his tail off to get the desired result. If you ever need to hire someone to represent you in construction or contractual matters, give Gary a call, as he will always pick up the phone and give you solid advice.

If your looking for an honest and smart lawyer I suggest you hire Gary S Weiss

I have a family run business in the construction industry, Gary Weiss represented me in a breach of contract case that implicated certain labor laws. From the moment we met in our initial consultation I had a level of comfort and relief. I do not remember how long we met but Gary was not concerne...d with the amount of time he was spending and instead he drilled down on all of the facts and reviewed all of the documents to ensure that he understood all of the issues involved. Gary quickly formulated a strategy and after hearing it there was no doubt we were ready to retain him. However, Gary required that I think about whether I wanted to retain him for a day or two and was adamant that if he agreed to represent me that that the terms of his legal representation would have to be agreed upon by us in a written attorney – client retention agreement that is very detailed as to what I should expect as the case proceeds and what to expect the legal fees and charges would be. He explained in great detail the manner of his billing practices. He said, I could and I continue to this day to literally call Gary at any time to ask about anything and Gary was always happy to take whatever time was necessary to talk with me. He has always been clear that he wanted to make sure that I understood what legal issues were currently being argued in Court and to make sure that I was always aware of the status of the case. I have had the pleasure to talk with Gary very frequently over the past several years and I have been able to get to know him not just as an attorney but as a person and as a friend. Gary took my legal issues personally, and that gave me the confidence that his assurances to me that he would get this done for me were genuine. Gary’s personal approach also relieved me of a lot of the stress that I was feeling. I really knew that he was in my corner when I realized that he always referred to the lawsuit as “our case.” Gary, unlike other attorneys I have dealt with in the past, has never “run the meter,” he continually provided me with options as to how to proceed and continually sought to avoid having me pay fees for unnecessary legal maneuvers. Gary was constantly focusing on the costs and benefits of each possible legal maneuver to save me legal fees. Gary has a unique style in that he did not charge for telephone calls unless we were addressing substantive issues, it is also unique because I never received an invoice and thought that any charge was too high, which was frequently how I felt when I received invoices from lawyers that I used before I met Gary. In our case Gary was faced with a very obstructionist opposing attorney, but Gary immediately made it clear to the opposing attorney that he would not allow the opposing attorney’s efforts to obstruct the proceedings to slow down the case. Gary made it clear that he knew we would prevail at trial and obtained a settlement for nearly the entire amount I was owed shortly after we filed suit. Gary is unlike every other attorney I have met or hired. Gary is passionate about protecting his clients and alleviating the fear that any client must feel. Gary’s personal style and his obvious knowledge of the law and the confidence he exudes inspired my confidence that he would prevail – and he did. He is a family man with a moral compass that guides him in all that he does. I consider myself fortunate to not only know Gary but to be able to utilize him for all my legal matters and to call him friend. If you want an honest and smart lawyer to help you then I strongly recommend Gary Weiss.
