State Farm v. Smith
Oct 01, 2012OUTCOME: Forced insurance company to cover our client despite their refusal
Minor client and her mother were sued for sexual assault to a minor child alleged to have occurred over a long period of time by our minor client (which was not true). Our client's insurance company, ... State Farm, had refused to provide our clients with either a defense or indemnification for the alleged occurrence despite our clients having both a homeowner's and umbrella policy with them. We were retained to defend both the underlying case and the declaratory judgment case filed by State Farm against our client. After a long hard fight for our clients we were able to force State Farm to cover our clients.
