I graduated from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 1980 and I am licensed to practice before the Courts of the State of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. I am a member of the Chicago Bar Association (where I serve on the probate, real estate, commercial litigation, alternative dispute resolution, courts and preventing attorney malpractice committees); the DuPage County Bar Association (where I serve on the probate, real estate and commercial litigation committees); the Illinois State Bar Association (where I served as a member of the Real Estate Law Section Council); the American Bar Association (where I serve on the ABA Section on Business Law, Committee on Business and Corporate Litigation and the Section on Real Property, Trust and Estate Law); the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association (IRELA); the American Trial Lawyers Association; the Commercial Law League of America as well as the Realtor© Association of NorthWest Chicagoland (where I have served on the grievance committee and the realtor/attorney committee), the National Association of Realtors© and the Northern Illinois Multiple Listing Service, and I have authored chapters on real estate practice for the Chicago Bar Association Young Lawyers’ Real Estate Guide. I am also a licensed managing real estate broker and a registered title agent for 1st American Title Company, Chicago Title Insurance Company (CTI), O’Hare Title Company, Ticor Title Insurance Company, Attorneys’ Title Guaranty Fund (ATGF), Stewart Title Company, Professional National Title Network (PNTN), The Florida Fund, and Heritage Title Company as well as a member of the American Land Title Association (ALTA). I concentrate my practice in the areas of real estate, probate, commercial law and business transactions.
