I enjoy this area of law the most, because I find it consistently adds value. If you do not have a will- go get one and your relatives "will" thank you for it. I usually only have 10-20 ongoing cases in this area.

Litigation 10%

I have a wide range of experience in civil litigation matter and handle the occasional unique matter.

Real Estate 10%

Guthrie & Brady has a long history in Real Estate. I often work on closings in both residential and commercial real estate. My background in litigation helps me identify problems before they become issues in Court. I enjoy the cases involving resolution of encroachment issues or other challenging issues.

Very unprofesstional

I was in the process of evicting a tenant. I had attempted it on my own but ran into a problem when in court on 8/31/17. The judge indicated I needed an attorney and called out 2 of them in court, Tim was one of them. Tim stated he charges $500 for an eviction in court. When I reached out to Timothy ...M Barnes after court, he charged me $650 to finish my eviction and he charged me more than double for a process server. The average cost is $70 and he charged me $150. Timothy M Barnes took advantage of me because he knew the situation I was in. I would not use Tim to handle any issues I have in the future. Note: Tim is no longer at Guthrie & Brady, however, Guthrie & Brady law firm did reimburse me $150 for the eviction but did stand on the $150 charge for the process server.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
