After an unfortunate situation while a period in the EEUU I needed to find an attorney who could take care of a messy situation. A DUI resulted in probation and I needed to complete some DUI education, counseling and community service during the probation year. As a result of the DUI arrest, my VISA ...was revoked and I had to leave the country for good. Luckily I had enough time to complete the DUI education and counseling before leaving and the judge authorized me to do community service time in my country. When the court day arrived, after a year, I was not able to enter the country, as my VISA was revoked, and I failed to appear in front of the judge. A warrant was issued and complicated even more the situation. My original attorney kept telling me that he could do nothing about this situation and that I needed to be in the country to resolve it, what it was obviously not a possibility. There are NO words to describe my legal working relationship with David Stevens, but one that comes to mind is HONESTY. Yes, I said it, HONESTY. We hear so much about lawyers being dishonest NOT, David! He always told the truth while handling my son's case, even it if was something I did not want t...o hear. He was willing to take my calls no matter the hours, (within reasons) For example, I remember interrupting him while he was at his child's Parent-Teacher meeting he answered my call.
