Esther Contreras focuses her practice exclusively on helping employers and professionals in all aspects of immigration law. She advocates for her clients before government agencies in an environment increasingly hostile to businesses, and helps clients strategize, plan and process work visas (H, L, E, O, P, TN, etc.) and permanent residence (EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, etc.) for their employees. Esther counsels employers on all aspects of Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, and E-Verify compliance, by conducting audits, providing training and recommending best practices.

Because so much is constantly changing in immigration that directly impacts employers, Esther is devoted to providing the latest immigration updates to the business community. She presents frequently to HR and business organizations on I-9 and E-Verify compliance and writes and publishes on the latest immigration trends on her firm’s website, LinkedIn and Lexology.

Esther’s clients span a wide range of industries, including IT, financial services, healthcare, education, manufacturing, food, the arts, consumer products, etc. and are located throughout the United States, Asia, Europe and Latin America. Esther earned degrees from Northwestern University and the University of Illinois College of Law, is admitted to practice in Illinois, and is active in the American Immigration Lawyers Association (serving on the National SAVE/SSA/DMV Committee), Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law and Hispanic National Bar Association.
