My family and I are hard of hearing, deaf & physically disabled. We had an issue with a tenant on a mission to cause us an eviction by falsely slandering us to the landlord, harassing us by calling the police daily to falsely accuse us of multiple made-up incidents and noise disturbances in which th...e tenant would make loud banging noises or screaming sounds, record the sound and call the police to accuse us of making these sounds. Tenant relied on our inability to pinpoint the sounds due to our hearing disabilities . The landlord was caught in the middle with being unable to tell whom is telling the truth despite the fact we cooperated with law enforcement and tried to install cameras with our limited tech knowledge. Despite it all, we were faced with pressure from landlord to break lease early, which then escalated to being issued a non renewal and finally resulting in a 10-day notice to vacate. Distraught with the fact we were being pushed out onto the street unjustifiably, we hired Keith Dent to assist us as we had never experienced anything like this in our lives. He listened to our case, sent the landlord an email defending us and guided us by offering advice on how to get our renewal back. We listened to everything he informed us of and followed his directions to the T. We successfully got our lease renewal back. What on earth can I say but very pleased with my outcome. I initially sought his council in July after a dispute arose between myself and landlord.
