Martin Leland Shaffer

A few years ago, I had a case and my lawyer had me plead guilty to it without explaining what it would mean for my family. I had to get the conviction erased, so I hired a different lawyer. That lawyer couldn't get it erased, but luckily I found Marty Shaffer. Mr. Shaffer seems to know everybody,... who to call and how to make good things happen. Mr. Shaffer, helped me tremendously!!! I was working on sealing my Felony Convictions in order to be able to apply to top business school and move on with my life in general. Unexpectedly, we encountered strong State Attorney's opposition. I mean, he would not budge at all. I honestly thought that my... dreams were broken. Not so fast!!! Mr. Shaffer found a technical mistake committed by the State, that was overlooked by Clerk's Office, the Judge, the State's Attorney himself and even by me. That technical mistake lead to the granting of my Petition to Seal, and States objection being thrown out by the judge even WITHOUT HEARING. But most importantly, this led to creating a precedent for future cases and might be of tremendous help to other people in similar situations.
