Jaclyn J. Wilcox

Jaclyn J. Kurth is an Associate at Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard who represents individuals and families who have been impacted by catastrophic personal injury, medical negligence, and wrongful death. Since joining the firm in 2021, Ms. Kurth has recovered more than $150 million on behalf of her clients. Known for her relentless preparation, she approaches every case with the goal of ensuring her clients have a strong voice in the courtroom.

Ms. Kurth has already achieved significant results throughout her career. In 2026, she helped obtain a $27 million settlement for the family of a mother of six who was killed in a collision resulting from an unauthorized Chicago Police Department pursuit through a residential South Side neighborhood. In 2023, she obtained a $20 million settlement for a woman who suffered a serious leg injury after being struck and dragged by a CTA bus in downtown Chicago. According to the Illinois Jury Verdict Reporter, the settlement was the highest reported settlement with the CTA at the time.

Ms. Kurth gained valuable courtroom experience early in her career. In her first trial with the firm, she won a $1.8 million premises liability jury verdict for a Texas woman who was sexually assaulted by an on-duty hotel security guard while traveling to the Chicago area.

For Ms. Kurth, being an advocate means more than presenting a case in court. She takes the time to understand what her clients have lost, prepares thoroughly for every challenge, and is not afraid to fight when opposing parties refuse to take responsibility. She understands that her clients are often facing some of the most difficult moments of their lives, and she works tirelessly to make sure their stories are told and their interests are protected.

Ms. Kurth’s accomplishments have earned her recognition from several respected legal publications. She has been selected to the Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” list since 2024 and has repeatedly been named to the Illinois Super Lawyers “Rising Stars” list.

Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Kurth worked as a law clerk at Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard for three years, gaining experience in complex litigation and high-profile trials. She graduated magna cum laude from UIC John Marshall Law School in 2020, where she served on the Moot Court Honors Council and as a Staff Editor for The John Marshall Law Review. She also authored an article on Illinois evidence law that was published in the law review.

Ms. Kurth is admitted to practice law in Illinois and Wisconsin and is active in several legal organizations, including the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Lake County Bar Association, and McHenry County Bar Association. Since becoming an attorney, Ms. Kurth has also been published twice in the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association’s Trial Journal, where she has written articles on apparent agency and the borrowed employee doctrine.

Outside of the courtroom, Ms. Kurth enjoys baking and spending time with her husband, two children, and their 100-pound Newfoundland, Wren.
