Joerika Stitt

I am Joerika Stitt, an Illinois attorney, certified mediator, and certified collaborative divorce attorney. My practice focuses on Divorce & Family Law, Estate Planning, and Personal Injury.

Before becoming an attorney, I worked as a psychiatric social worker and earned a Master of Social Work in addition to my law degree. I later represented clients in domestic relations matters through legal aid. That background continues to shape how I practice law today. I understand the emotional, financial, and practical pressures that can come with major life transitions, and I help clients make informed decisions with clarity and confidence.

In Divorce & Family Law, I represent clients in contested and uncontested divorce, parenting matters, mediation, collaborative divorce, and prenuptial agreements.

In Estate Planning, I help individuals and families protect their assets and plan for the future through wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and customized estate plans.

In Personal Injury, I represent clients injured in motor vehicle accidents, dog bites and animal attacks, pedestrian and bicycle accidents, and premises liability matters.

My approach is practical, direct, and client-focused. I explain the legal process in clear terms, identify the available options, and help clients determine the next step that makes sense for their situation.
