If zero was an option negative 1000 zero. He is useless

No lawyer could be worse. Negative zero. He shows up unprepared IF he even shows up. Continues then tells his client change his plea to guilty. His client is not guilty..DO NOT hire this quack

This guy should be out of the business of law

This guy shows up hours late to court often smelling like alcohol. He doesn't prepare for trial and he wasn't able to effectively argue the facts of my case. I lost! After getting sentenced to 7 yrs, I filed an appeal based on ineffective assistance of counsel and was granted a new trial based on Mr.... O'Byrne being drunk in court during my trial. I won my new trial and was cleared of all charges. I've filled a ARDC complaint against Mr. O'Byrne and I am currently waiting on the results of their investigation. Read the reviews. If a lot of people are saying tbe same thing it must be true. Don't put yourself through the pain of hiring a incompetent lawyer. This guy is terrible! During the investigation, I remember him talking about his hunting trips more than about my case and the outcome was that I got 7 years! Spare yourself the pain hire someone else.

Hard to believe this guy is a lawyer.

Worst ever. Comes in to court looking like an unmade bed. No briefcase, no files, nothing prepared scrolls through his phone while the other attorney is making closing statements instead of listening to perhaps rebute what is being said?? Shows up late because he got lost??? And what lawyer suggest...s to meet a client to discuss a case at a bar, and brings his wife along? Then while there is supposed to be a meeting going on, this nitwit is watching the TVs in the bar, and scrolling through his phone? Thanks to his blatant disinterest, my brothers case was lost, and his response was " I gotta go, I have people waiting for me" How in the hell is this guy a lawyer?

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
