John August Staas

Mr. Staas has provided legal assistance to me several times over the past 15 years. On a personal level he has helped me with a parenting agreement and was able to resolve an extremely complicated inheritance situation with my Spanish aunt that involved three states and two countries. On a profession...al level, he assisted a grassroots not-for-profit organization in which more than 80 volunteers (including myself) and staff sued the board of directors for control of the organization. With this case, he gave us countless hours in pro bono assistance over two years. In all of these instances, Mr. Staas was a sympathetic advocate, an objective and unflappable strategist, and an honest, forthright adviser. Every case had a positive outcome. I have recommended him to friends and I would hire him again without a second thought.

Without going into any of the specifics about my need for an attorney, I'm glad I found Mr. Staas when I did. Not only did he provide the legal expertise needed to resolve my situation, he also provided "common sense" guidance as well. Very important! He seems to have a "knack" for knowing what the ..."legal issues" are, and provides a clear and understandable vision of it. By the way, I found him very easy to be with and to have represented me in court.
