do not use this man for family court
I retained Mr Greene to reunite me with my son (3/15/10) for 5000.00. I informed him that time was of the essence, and he assured me he would attend to it immediately. one month later he asked for another 2800.00. He had "consultations " with an unlicensed "Dr." that he charged 500 a piece for, even ...
As a preliminary matter, I try very hard not to say negative things about former clients -- even when, as here, the former client is unhappy, and makes baseless claims against me. An attorney's job is to maintain confidences, not disclose them. With that in mind, and without disclosing any confidences: I represented this person for a period of only three months ... and wish I'd never taken her on as a client. I expressly advised her in detail how to go about regaining contact with her child (there was a court order in place barring her from contact), and I told her what results I thought she would attain and how long things would take if she did as I advised. Initailly she adamantly refused to follow my advice, but eventually she began complying and things were moving ahead as I said they would. Then she told me she no longer wanted me to represent her, but ... she continued to follow my advice, and got exactly the results I expressly told her she would get if she followed my advice. Then, after obtaining the benefit of my advice and the results I said she'd get, she demanded all of her money back. I refunded her the unused balance in my trust account, but that wasn't good enough for her. She reported me to The Florida Bar, and The Florida Bar issued a ruling that there was no evidence whatsoever to indicate I had done anything wrong. In fact, the investigating attorneys stated, "On the contrary, Mr. Greene provided ample evidence that he was attentive to your case. He responded to your e-mails, consulted with experts, researched and provided you with the names of counselors to assist you with complying with the court's order, and advised you accordingly." Unhappy with The Bar's decision, she sued me -- and the lawsuit was ultimately dismissed. Now (four years later), she continues to send me obnoxious e-mails, and spends her time bad-mouthing me under different e-mail addresses all over the internet. I block her e-mails, but she keeps opening new e-mail accounts.
"Ted has a genuine compassion for achieving the best results for his clients and is ever impressive with work that is insightful, comprehensive and thorough. You will not find a more ardent advocate or knowledgeable counselor-at-law - Highly recommended!"
"Ted Greene is a fantastic lawyer. He has excellent command of the courtroom and is a technician when it comes to the law and the rules of evidence. I have worked on cases with Mr. Greene for about a decade and he has been a zealous advocate for his clients. Consumers in Florida owe much to Mr. Greene for his advocacy on their behalf in all courts. Ted is not afraid of hard work and will not give up when he knows he is right. Ted is always prepared! Best of all, Ted is respected in his community as a true gentleman."
"I endorse this lawyer. Ted Greene is one of the better lawyers with whom I have had the privilege of working in all of my years (24) in practice. He has an excellent knowledge of the courtroom and the law, and his legal writing skills are unsurpassed. He also has a wonderful demeanor in handling his clients."
"Ted is a brilliant and conscientious attorney. He works with incredible passion and vigor. He really cares about his clients."
"Ted is one of the finest appellate attorneys in the State of Florida. I have had the privilege of co-counseling many appeals with him over the years, including cases to the Florida Supreme Court, which he successfully handled. He is not only an excellent brief writer, but he is a tremendous orator. He is exceptionally articulate and passionate about his field. He represents clients zealously and puts his heart and sole into everything he does. Ted is also one of the most prominent and successfuly consumer attorneys in the State of Florida that I know. I highly endorse this lawyer!"
