Divorce and Separation 35%

A divorce lawyer helps you if you no longer want to be married. Whether you want a legal separation or the marriage ended, divorce lawyers assist you to arrange financial and family matters, typically in a negotiation with your spouse's lawyer. Alimony, child custody, child support, and a fair division of community assets (like who keeps the house or how your checking and savings accounts are divided) are matters that a divorce lawyer is trained to help determine.

If you are suspected of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, you may be arrested for DUI (driving under the influence). Criminal Defense 30%

If you are suspected of a crime or charged with a violation of law, you may require the services of a criminal defense attorney to present your defense or negotiate a penalty. As different rules and procedures exist for different offenses, you should seek a criminal defense attorney who has worked on your particular type of case to provide you with the best defense.

Adoption 2%

An adoption lawyer helps to place children with parents other than their birth parents. An adoption cuts off the birth parents' rights and responsibilities, and gives them to the adoptive parents. Once an adoption is final, the adopted child receives the same legal treatment as a biological child. Adoption is often an emotional time and an adoption lawyer can help you make the right decisions for the child.

DUI to Reckless Driving with 12 Mos. Court Supervision

Alan was top-notch! From the first moment I met Alan, I was impressed by his willingness to listen to me and understand my issue. Alan reassured me that he would do the best he could for my case. Though the price seemed a little high at first, I was willing to put my faith in Alan. I figured it was... my life after all. I'm so glad I did because Alan was worth every penny. He was polite, humorous and very easy to get into contact with. He outlined everything I would need to have ready and do. From obtaining my evaluation summary from NICASA and miimal risk training to great recommendations for obtaining an MBAIID ("Smart Start") ignition locking device. Ultimately, Alan was able to get my charges dropped to Reckless Driving with Court Supervision. This means that there will be no conviction on my record for DUI, pending I meet all conditions of the supervision. I would definitely recommend Alan to anyone in need of a great DUI defense attorney.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
