Scott Alan Weinstein

Scott Weinstein joined Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit in 2014 after having developed a broad-based background in commercial real estate, corporate, business succession, and estate planning/administration services. His approach is to provide clients with personal attention and prompt communications throughout each matter.

Having previously served as president, counsel and a co-owner of a successful real estate title company, Scott brings a unique perspective and understanding of the daily and ongoing business issues his clients face to his legal practice. He provides practical and proactive counsel to business owners on general corporate matters from entity formation, day-to-day contractual issues, work-outs, and succession planning. In addition, Scott represents individuals, partnerships, corporations, limited liability companies, and banks in negotiating and closing modest to multi-million dollar transactions involving commercial real estate, mergers and acquisitions.

Scott regularly represents landlords and tenants (including franchisees) nation-wide on retail, office and industrial lease negotiations. He also represents investors on traditional commercial and industrial real estate transactions including shopping centers, multi-family, apartment buildings, net-lease, and new construction developments.

Scott’s experience includes working with Citicorp Real Estate where he handled transaction financing and deal structures. He also worked at Ruden, McClosky, Smith, Schuster & Russell, a large Florida law firm.
