William J. Dennison II

Atty Will Dennison is the worst attorney he takes your money and does absolutely nothing he says he will do. He does not return calls, emails and does not file any court documents as promised. Makayla Thomas his paralegal also does not follow through either. His billing is outrageous and he does not... communicate with his clients. He takes your retainer and money and forgets he even had a case to represent his clients. He was requested to withdrawn and refuses to return client files and personal property and retainer refunds promptly when requested which is a direct violation of Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct 1.15 d) and 1.16(d). If you are not happy file a formal written complaint to ARDC we did.

My experience with Will Dennison at this firm was deeply frustrating and financially damaging. I retained him for a custody and family law matter, and the experience turned into a complete nightmare regarding billing practices and communication. ​Most egregiously, I was billed $175 ($87.50 each) for... two consecutive calls he placed to me while I was in the shower and unable to answer. Charging a client for unanswered calls where no actual legal work or consultation took place is entirely unacceptable. Furthermore, billing issues persisted long after our professional relationship ended, with charges continuing months after I had formally terminated his services. ​Based on my experience, I felt completely taken advantage of during an already vulnerable time involving my children, and I would strongly advise prospective clients to look elsewhere for legal representation in McHenry County. FYI, the only 2 positive reviews he has are written exactly how he talks. Oddly enough, they are both anonymous.

Hired William Dennison for child support case. Was interested in collecting all the money first while nothing happened. He kept saying he was working on in and wasnt really. Made one court appearance to file a motion for who knows what because i never got a copy of anything. Contacted other party tha...t was not paying child support (something i have been doing for years) but he charged me $250 for text messages. End of story.. after he was paid ..he was hard to get of hold of... said he was out of town... later stopped contacting me period. If you want an expensive lawyer that is not going to give any results this is the guy. William Dennison. Lost my money and time.
