One of the best!

I had an excellent experience working with Joshua. He was professional, responsive, and truly attentive throughout the entire process. My divorce was finalized in just seven months, which speaks to his efficiency and ability to keep things moving forward without unnecessary delays. He was always h...elpful in answering questions and explaining next steps clearly, which made a stressful situation much easier to navigate. I especially appreciated that he was fair and transparent with billing — no nickel-and-diming, just straightforward and honest service. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, efficient, and trustworthy divorce attorney.

Joshua all about the money Schwartz

Beware of Joshua Schwartz for your divorce case. Joshua will oversell, under deliver in divorce cases and won't stop until all the money is delpeted from both parties and 401ks. He doesn't have kids and could care less about yours. Think his slogan should "we turn simple divorce cases into complex ...costly ones". Stay away. Horrible. All about the money.

Guardianship of Developmentally Disabled Adult

I am the mother, legal co-guardian, and full time caregiver of my 32 year old son with physical and developmental disabilities. In 2008, at the age of 18, my son became a Ward of the State of Illinois at which time his father and I were awarded co-guardianship. During a contentious divorce in 2013,... a parenting schedule was established. After remarrying in 2015, the co-guardian gradually and significantly decreased his allotted parenting time and voluntarily relocated to another state without informing the court. In light of these circumstances, I enlisted the services of Mr. Joshua Schwartz to seek removal of the co-guardian and to be granted sole guardianship of my son. Mr. Schwartz accepted my case and worked on my behalf in a very professional manner. He was always direct and honest about the issues at hand throughout the process. Mr. Schwartz was clear and punctual in his communications, whether it was sending me copies of court filings or responding to my email messages. Regardless of whether sole guardianship would be granted by the court, one primary issue was that of a new parental visitation schedule. Mr. Schwartz continuously encouraged me to offer the proverbial olive branch to the co-guardian in order to reach a compromise which would likely be more acceptable and fair than depending on the court for a settlement. To that end, mediation was attempted, but a compromise settlement was elusive. Ongoing attempts with opposing counsel to negotiate an updated visitation schedule while holding both co-guardians accountable for the benefit of our son proved unsuccessful. So the last best hope was to present our case before the probate judge at trial. Mr. Schwartz was exceedingly thorough and conscientious in his trial preparation. For the entire duration of this case, he acknowledged my positions and validated my concerns. It was important to me that I was heard and that my viewpoints were credible and defensible. Given the fact that removal of the co-guardian was highly unlikely and the reality that opposing counsel's client was exceptionally difficult, Mr. Schwartz had his work cut out for him. Thankfully, he had the experience, perspective, and savvy to negotiate the best possible outcome for me without requiring a trial. As a client in a vulnerable situation, I depended on the viewpoint and guidance of Mr. Schwartz to achieve resolution. Considering the situation, I'm confident that no one else could have secured a better outcome for me than did Mr. Schwartz. I highly recommend Mr. Joshua Schwartz for issues regarding family law, probate, and related matters. He is very competent, competitive, and compassionate. Should I require legal counsel in the future, I will definitely enlist the services of Mr. Joshua Schwartz of Schwartz Wolf and Bernstein LLP.

Highly Recommend!

Josh is a fantastic attorney! I retained his services to secure adult disabled child support and guardianship for my son and he did not disappoint. What should have been a few straightforward meetings became an...interesting... and protracted court battle with my ex-husband. Josh helped me obtain ...a settlement for my son that was more than I expected and, just as importantly, respected me throughout the process. He is thorough and appropriate in his communications and I never felt he was padding a bill. Josh is straight shooter. Sharp, dedicated, and professional. He's the guy you want representing you, not against you as opposing counsel!

Visitation during Covid-19 Pandemic

Joshua was hired to re-instate visitation that was still arbitrarily denied by a mother in spite of Illinois removing lockdown restrictions. He performed with persistence, without compromising the best interests of the child and the father. He was very prompt in all written, phone and e-mail communi...cations to all parties involved. He clearly distills issues and positions without ambiguity, but also with honesty and integrity.
