Whether my clients require someone to represent them in matters involving medical malpractice, an automobile accident, or some other type of personal injury matter, I believe in providing each person with the highest quality of legal representation.

For over 25 years, I’m honored to have built my reputation and, then, developed my practice based on the referrals of other lawyers and clients. I’ve focused my career on listening to the needs and wants of my clients. I’ve been described as friendly, personable and direct and I do my utmost to provide clear and objective counsel. I have received many honors and awards throughout my career, most notably the Martindale-Hubbell’s “AV® Preeminent™” rating, which is the highest peer review rating in professional ethics and legal ability. In April 2025, I was voted into membership of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), one of the most exclusive organizations of trial lawyers in the United States. For the sixth consecutive year, I have been included in the newest edition of The Best Lawyers in America©, which is universally regarded as a definitive guide to legal excellence providing lists in over 78 countries. For fifteen (15) years, I have been named one of the Illinois Super Lawyers® for medical malpractice and personal injury.

I have handled constitutional and appellate litigation in the Supreme Court of the United States, the Supreme Court of Illinois, and other courts throughout the country.

My skill as a Trial Lawyer has led me to a number of positions teaching both law students and attorneys. In addition to my active personal injury practice, I am an adjunct professor at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, teaching trial advocacy. I previously taught legal writing skills at the John Marshall Law School. I have, also, served as an instructor with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) and its deposition program. In November 2006, I was invited to and participated in NITA’s Pacific Teacher Training class on teaching advocacy skills in San Francisco, California. I was an instructor with the CBA College of Trial Advocacy and an instructor for the Federal Trial Bar Training Course on the art of expert examination at trial.
