Stephen Thomas Scherrer

Scherrer Patent & Trademark Law was established in 2009 by its founder, Stephen Scherrer, an intellectual property attorney with over ten years of experience protecting ideas and brands.

Although I have degrees in chemistry, I am primarily interested in general technology. Mt practice focuses on all areas of intellectual property protection, and I have experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, mechanical, electrical and internet-related business method areas. Specifically, I have experience prosecuting and managing diverse patent portfolios that have both U.S. and foreign patents for several major companies and many small to medium-sized businesses. Further, I have counseled numerous clients on short-term and long-term patent strategies. I have drafted numerous patent applications and have issued several patentability, non-infringement and invalidity opinions for diverse technologies, including polymer chemistry, flexible film packaging, transaction cards, consumable beverage products, ink jet inks and cartridges, internet-based security protocols, and transportation-based technology.
