Jared Russell Wigginton

Jared Wigginton, founder of Good Steward Legal, is a U.S.-based attorney dedicated to providing first-rate legal service to clients across the country. Mr. Wigginton has extensive experience representing large and small business clients, national and state trade associations, and governmental entities in complex, high-stakes legal matters. Clients value his collaborative and practical approach to problem-solving, understanding of their business needs, and commitment to proactively and cost-effectively protecting their interests.

Mr. Wigginton represents clients in, among other things, complex civil and administrative litigation, judicial and administrative appeals, regulatory advocacy and counseling, infrastructure and other permitting, and enforcement actions. In doing so, he serves clients from a broad array of industries, including agriculture, construction, energy and power, fisheries, insurance, manufacturing, maritime, mining, natural resources, and water and other utilities. Mr. Wigginton also assists governmental clients.

Substantively, Mr. Wigginton maintains a diverse practice. Although Mr. Wigginton primarily works on federal and state environmental, natural resources, constitutional, and appellate matters, he also generally serves clients in civil litigation, including matters involving contract disputes, class actions, and toxic and other mass torts.

Mr. Wigginton has represented clients in matters before the U.S. Supreme Court (certiorari and merits stage); the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth, Ninth, and District of Columbia Circuits; the U.S. District Courts for the District of Columbia, Northern District of California, and District of Montana; the Washington Supreme Court; and multiple federal and state agencies, including the National Marine Fisheries Service and the Montana Board of Environmental Review. Mr. Wigginton is licensed in Montana, Washington, California, and the District of Columbia. He also is accustomed to working with local counsel on litigation matters in jurisdictions where he is not yet licensed.
