Will fight for you

I cannot say that Paul is the best lawyer you can hire, but he is better than any I have had, and I guess I have had half a dozen in my life. He will fight for you, he doesn't need to be prompted to stand up for you, he just does it. I had 17 misdemeanor charges and two attorneys before Paul. There ...were 16 privacy in communications. The first attorney I hired said there should only be one and he would move to dismiss 15 of them. After talking to the City Attorney, though, he came to me with a plea offer and told me BS reason why he couldn't get 15 of them dismissed. The only thing he ever filed in court was the motion to withdraw, after having him represent me for 5 months. After several months of going it alone, I hired a second attorney. He said that all 17 charges were legitimate, and again came to me with a plea offer. Again, two months of representation and he never filed anything. Paul actually started working on my case two days BEFORE he had the check from me! Within two weeks he had filed a motion to dismiss 15 of the charges. The City agreed with him! He filed motions in limine to suppress testimony, he was prepared to argue over jury instructions. In short, he will really fight. Ultimately I took a no contest plea, all supended, rather than face Judge Jenks. But Paul really prepared. The City had asked for a certain condition on the sentence and without having to ask me, Paul rejected it as not being reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend Paul, and if I ever need an attorney again, he will be the first that I go to.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
