Current Clients

We hired Michael Doggett after our auto accident and he has been consistent and on time with answering all questions and worked with us helping us understand the process as we went along. At this time we are coming near to a settlement that we feel is fair to this case. We would recommend Mr. ...Doggett to others in the future.

Attorney for Personal Injury

If this is the same Michael Doggett who is or was located at 30 South Ewing, Helena, Montana: I would never recommend Doggett. He rarely returns phone messages or emails. During the 2 year/6 months I was with him he had complete turnover of his legal staff. When I left there were only secretaries... left in his Helena office and per one of those secretaries there was only Doggett in the Missoula office. You just start working with an attorney or a paralegal and then they're no longer there. I worked with 2 different attorneys and 3 different paralegals. One day I was called and was told I had eight hours to get in to sign documents that had to be notarized and sent to the opposing attorneys. I was sick in bed and asked why such short notice. Answer: I guess it just got put at the bottom of the pile. If you complain about such situations, Doggett will request from the judge his removal from the case; which leaves the client with no attorney and must go through the long process of many calls trying to find one who has time and wants to take over another attorney's case. I requested hard copy of my file and it took over a month and 4 requests to receive it. I keep receiving documents sent from the opposing attorneys as far back as July and this is December.

I withdrew from this client's case because she was extremely rude to myself and staff. Much of what she describes in her review is not accurate.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
