Katharine Elizabeth Leque

Katharine was born and raised in Juneau, Alaska. She is a 2012 graduate of the University of Montana School of Law and a 2009 graduate of Montana State University.  

While in law school, Katharine served as Executive Editor of the Montana Law Review, a legal journal focused on Montana issues.  She also interned at the civil litigation firm Phillips Haffey P.C. and prosecuted misdemeanor crimes for the Missoula City Attorney’s Office.  

After graduating law school and passing the bar exam, Katharine practiced law at Phillips Haffey P.C. as an associate attorney.  There, she concentrated on civil litigation and personal injury defense.  In April 2014, she moved back to Bozeman and joined the law firm of Berg, Lilly & Tollefsen, P.C.  ​

In 2015, Katharine opened the Law Office of Katharine E. Leque, PLLC.  Her areas of practice include traditional family law, collaborative family law, fertility law, and guardianship and conservatorships.  

Katharine is admitted to practice before all Montana state courts as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana.  

Katharine serves on the Board of Director for Greater Gallatin United Way.  She also volunteers on a monthly basis at the Gallatin Legal Assistance Clinic, providing free legal assistance to people with limited income who are representing themselves in family law matters.
