John Meyer

I’m an environmental litigator who believes the law should protect people and the places they depend on, not just those with the most resources. I lead Cottonwood Law with a focus on clean water, public lands, wildlife, and holding polluters and government agencies accountable when they break the law.

My practice is built around hard cases and long fights. I represent communities, landowners, and conservation interests across the West, taking matters to court when necessary and preparing every case as if it will be tried. I approach litigation in a practical, plainspoken way, grounded in the real-world impacts on land, water, and families.
